    • Williams secured his only target for...

Williams secured his only target for 21 yards in the Chargers' 24-14 preseason win over the Seahawks on Saturday.

Analysis: Williams drew the start alongside Keenan Allen and made good on his sole target, which came on Los Angeles' first play from scrimmage. The fourth-year pro will need to produce consistently to hang on to his current No. 2 receiver role this season, considering that last year's seventh overall pick Mike Williams is fully healthy and has the talent to potentially wrest the job if he stays clear of the injury bug. Williams will look to keep building momentum for the regular season during next Saturday night's exhibition against the Saints.

    • Williams secured his only target for...

Williams secured his only target for a 25-yard touchdown in the Chargers' 24-14 preseason win over the Seahawks on Saturday.

Analysis: The second-year receiver made his one catch count, showing off his athleticism by going up high and over the defender to snare the touchdown throw from Geno Smith. Williams saw Tyrell Williams draw the start opposite Keenan Allen, but he has the talent to challenge the latter for the No. 2 role as the season unfolds. Last season's seventh overall pick is now at full health after a back injury limited him to 10 games in 2017, and a pass-heavy Chargers offense should help him exponentially improve on last season's modest 11 receptions.

    • Aguayo was successful on a 39-yard...

Aguayo was successful on a 39-yard field-goal attempt and also converted all three of his extra-point tries in the Chargers' 24-14 preseason win over the Seahawks on Saturday.

Analysis: Locked in a battle for the placekicking job with Caleb Sturgis, Aguayo acquitted himself impressively Saturday. The former Lou Groza Award winner is looking for a fresh start after a tumultuous first two pro seasons that went nowhere near as successfully as his college pedigree would have suggested. The battle between the two kickers figures to go down to the wire, with Sturgis -- who didn't receive any opportunities against the Seahawks-- likely to get multiple chances to show what he can do against the Saints in Los Angeles' third preseason game next Saturday.

    • Marshall (hamstring) failed to come up...

Marshall (hamstring) failed to come up with his only target in the Seahawks' 24-14 preseason loss to the Chargers on Saturday.

Analysis: The veteran's one target came on the first play of Seattle's second series, when he drew a pass interference penalty on a deep target down the left side of the field. Marshall worked with the first-team offense during the past week, and the ongoing absence of Doug Baldwin due to a knee issue presumably provides the former with a bit more slack in terms of a roster spot for the time being. However, given his checkered medical history over the last year, Marshall will have to also steer clear of the injury bug for the remainder of preseason to ensure he survives final cuts. He'll look to make more of an impression in next Friday's exhibition versus the Vikings.

    • Davis rushed once for three yards...

Davis rushed once for three yards and secured three of four targets for 16 yards in the Seahawks' 24-14 preseason loss to the Chargers on Saturday.

Analysis: Davis saw more limited opportunity than he had in the preseason opener with C.J. Prosise (hip) active Saturday, but he still found a way to make a good impression with his work through the air. The four-year pro is in a three-way battle with Prosise and J.D. McKissic for the No. 3 running back job behind Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny (finger), and the race still appears to be wide open heading into next Friday night's exhibition against the Vikings.
