    • Lawrence has yet to undergo shoulder...

Lawrence has yet to undergo shoulder surgery, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis: Seemingly using his health as a bargaining chip in contract negotiations, Lawrence is delaying the inevitable until he and the Cowboys come to terms in a long-term deal. The team used the franchise tag on him for a second straight year, which will equate to $20.6 million in 2019 but no money beyond this coming season. Despite tending to shoulder injuries multiple times in his five-year career, he racked up a combined 25 sacks while playing every contest in 2017 and 2018. With such production, it's no surprise the potential earnings at stake as well as the paths taken by both sides.

    • Perry will take a free-agent visit...

Perry will take a free-agent visit to Seattle some time this week, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.

Analysis: Perry had spent the past seven seasons in Green Bay, but was cut this offseason by the team to make room for other acquisitions. The USC product has has never played a full 16-game season in his career, but seems to be fully healthy this offseason. The Seahawks could add Perry to their linebacker core, as the team awaits the fate of Mychal Kendricks (lower leg), who could face jail time after pleading guilty to insider trading.

    • Griffin will compete for the Tampa...

Griffin will compete for the Tampa Bay's backup quarterback role after the team signed fellow quarterback Blaine Gabbert on Monday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis: Griffin served as Tampa's third quarterback for the vast majority of the 2018 campaign, eventually bumping ahead of Ryan Fitzpatrick for the No. 2 spot over the final two weeks. Given that Griffin has never attempted a pass in a regular-season game, Gabbert will certainly push him for the back up job.

    • Kendricks (lower leg) had his April...

Kendricks (lower leg) had his April 4 sentencing hearing postponed without setting a date for the future Monday, Andy Patton of USA Today reports.

Analysis: Kendricks pleaded guilty to insider trading, and will await his fate until further notice. The California product re-signed with the Seahawks this offseason on a one-year $4 million contract. Kendricks could certainly miss the 2019 season due to jail time, and the team prepared for that, making his contract non-guaranteed. Kendricks would likely be in line for a starting role on the Seahawks' linebacker corps if eligible, otherwise K.J. Wright would see a boost in playing time.

    • Agent Drew Rosenhaus said Monday that...

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said Monday that he "is confident" that McDowell (concussion) will play in 2019, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: McDowell was selected by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, but a serious ATV accident put his career in jeopardy that offseason. After being injured, McDowell was placed on the NFI list and never practiced with Seattle again before ultimately becoming a free agent earlier this month. The team felt that McDowell would not be able to get healthy enough to continue playing football, according to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times, though he was reportedly cleared by independent doctors. The 22-year-old intends to resume his playing career if a team assesses him to be healthy, and already visited with the Cowboys in mid-March.
